The newly launched Naim ND5 XS is a performance upgradeable Network Music Streamer, bringing native support for the new crop of Audiophile recordings (from sites such as www.hdtracks.com) that set a new benchmark for digital music in the home. Unlike many CD reissues/remasters, these recordings are mainly sourced from restored high resolution original master tapes and offer unheard of levels of detail.

These recordings have been available in 24bit 88.2/96khz for a while, and are now being joined by 176khz/192khz recordings that raise the bar even higher!

The ND5 XS is the first Naim Streamer to handle these newer resolution formats natively and, along with the traditionally involving Naim sound, places it in a very favourable position compared to it's price rivals (shoe boxed sized or otherwise):
